Medical aid from the Republic of India to the Republic of Moldova in the context of Covid-19 pandemic
Today, July 31st , 2020, the Charge d'Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Romania, Mr. Emil Jacota, received a humanitarian lot generously offered to our country by the Government of the Republic of India. The donation consists of a batch of 6000 kg of medicines and other medical equipment (700 disposable surgical gowns, 1750 protective equipment (non-woven LDPE/Opaque) and 3,500 surgical gloves).
The handing-over ceremony took place in Bucharest, within the Embassy of the Republic of India in Romania, accredited for the Republic of Moldova, in the presence of the new Ambassador of the Republic of India in Bucharest, E.S. Mr. Rahul Shrivastava.
The Moldovan diplomat welcomed the decision of the Indian authorities to support the efforts of the Government of the Republic of Moldova in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, which will cover the urgent needs of medical institutions in our country.
The assistance provided by the Republic of India for the Republic of Moldova was coordinated by the Embassy of India in Bucharest, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova to the Republic of India, based in Baku, and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in New Delhi.
